Wycliffe Bible Translators Australia (WBTA), part of the Wycliffe Global Alliance, was founded in 1954 to connect Australians with the work of Bible translation both abroad and at home.

WBTA exists to see disciples of Jesus growing through the Scriptures available in the language that they understand best. To achieve this end WBTA is involved in the following activities:

Promotion: presenting the work of Bible Translation to the Australian Christian public.

Advocacy: speaking out on behalf of language groups without adequate Scriptures.

Recruitment: inviting and encouraging Australian Christians to join the movement.

Training: providing appropriate and timely training to prepare people for roles in Bible translation.

Networking: working with churches and other mission organisations to further the work of Bible translation.

Empowering: supporting people in ways that allow them to work effectively.

Resourcing: cultivating resources, such as prayer and funding, to assist Bible translation around the world.

Today, WBTA’s 270 members are working around the globe and within Australia to make God’s Word available to all who need it, in the language people understand best.

Los Traductores Bíblicos de Australia (WBTA por sus siglas en ingles), parte de la Alianza Global Wycliffe, fue fundada en 1954 para conectar a los australianos con la obra de la traducción bíblica ambos en casa y en el extranjero.

WBTA existe para ver crecer a los discípulos de Jesús a través de las Escrituras disponibles en los idiomas que ellos pueden comprender mejor. Para alcanzar este fin, la WBTA se involucra en las siguientes actividades:

Promoción: Presentando la obra de la Traducción Bíblica al publico cristiano de Australia.

Fomento: Hablar en favor de grupos de idiomas que no tienen escrituras apropiadas.

Reclutamiento: Invitar y animar a los Cristianos Australianos a que se unan al movimiento.

Entrenamiento: Proveer entrenamiento apropiado y oportuno para preparar a las personas para desempeñar roles en la traducción bíblica.

Comunicación: Trabajar con las iglesias y otras organizaciones misioneras para avanzar la obra de la traducción bíblica.

Empoderamiento: Apoyar a las personas en formas que les permitan obrar efectivamente.

Responsabilisation : soutenir les personnes de manière à leur permettre de travailler efficacement.

Ressources : cultiver les ressources, telles que la prière et le financement, pour aider la traduction de la Bible dans le monde entier.

Aujourd'hui, les 270 membres de la WBTA travaillent dans le monde entier et en Australie pour mettre la Parole de Dieu à la disposition de tous ceux qui en ont besoin, dans la langue que les gens comprennent le mieux.
