Who We Are

Introducing the Wycliffe Global Alliance from Wycliffe Global Alliance on Vimeo.

The Wycliffe Global Alliance is a community of more than 100 diverse organisations and networks serving together in Bible translation movements around the world.

Alliance organisations share a common commitment: all people should have access to God’s Word in their preferred languages and formats. Hundreds of millions of people still do not have God’s Word in the language they understand best. The Alliance’s vision is to see individuals, communities and nations transformed through God’s love and Word expressed in their languages and cultures.

The Alliance serves as a part of the worldwide church and the global mission community. It seeks to glorify God through participation in his mission of redemption, reconciliation and restoration.

Multicultural by nature, the Alliance continues to grow in its intercultural attitudes and behavior.

Alliance organisations commit to:

  • Serve together
  • Demonstrate the unity and diversity of the Body of Christ
  • Exemplify relationships that demonstrate love and respect.

Words commonly used to describe the Alliance include:

  • Interconnected
  • Inclusive
  • Adaptable
  • Respectful
  • Diverse
  • Organic
  • Biblically and missiologically grounded
  • Relational

Only in God’s strength and with his guidance is any of this is possible.
