Alliance welcomes new Executive Director
On Wednesday, 3 June 2020, Dr Stephen Coertze assumed the role of Executive Director of the Wycliffe Global Alliance.
Stephen has been a member of Wycliffe South Africa, including 10 years as Director, and most recently served as the Director for Missiology on the Alliance’s leadership team.
In a virtual meeting of the Alliance Board and Leadership Team, Board Chair Agnes Lid formally marked the end of Dr Kirk Franklin’s tenure as Director, thanking him for his 12 years of faithful service.
“On behalf of the Board of Wycliffe Global Alliance, I want to express our gratitude to Kirk Franklin for his visionary leadership and immense contribution to the growth and development of the Alliance. You have been an outstanding leader of the Alliance! Clearly, you have been used by God to lead us to where we are today. I am sure that I have not only the Board but the whole global Wycliffe community behind me when I say a big, heartfelt thank you to you, Kirk.”
She then released Kirk from his role and formally presented Stephen as the new Executive Director of the Alliance.
“It is my joy and privilege to present Dr Stephen Coertze as our new Executive Director, formally filling the role as of today. It is with joy and anticipation that I welcome you as our new global leader. I look forward to seeing what God will do through you and through the Alliance in the years to come. Thank you for being willing to take on this important and demanding leadership role.”
Please continue to pray for Stephen, Kirk and the Alliance during this time of transition.
