The Vernacular Treasure: A Century of Mother-Tongue Bible Translation

In The Vernacular Treasure: A Century of Mother-Tongue Bible Translation, author Harriet Hill provides a sweeping historical overview of 20 centuries of progress in Bible translation.  The rate of new translations published has accelerated tremendously in recent years due to innovations and new strategies spurred on by Vision 2025 - the goal adopted in 1999 by Wycliffe Bible Translators International and SIL International that, by the year 2025, a translation program will have begun in every remaining language in the world still needing one.
