Dr. Andy Alo is a lecturer in Bible translation at Africa International University in Nairobi, Kenya. He speaks five languages, but it is his mother tongue, Lubgarati, which holds a valuable place in his heart.
Getting Scripture translated, printed and into the hands of the people is a community effort.
Dr. Andy Alo is the third generation of his family to have access to the Bible in his mother tongue. Now he is a lecturer in Bible translation at AIU in Nairobi, Kenya. He reflects on the importance of his mother tongue, and how God called him to serve in Bible translation.
