Faith Came by Hearing

Kasinji Kofi of Kabeso village in Ghana, tells how listening to Scripture through Faith Comes by Hearing changed his life.

“As an unbeliever, I did not know anything about Jesus Christ, nor was I interested in learning anything about him or the Bible. I hated being told what to do, and the truth is, I just wanted to do whatever pleased me. When the Faith Comes by Hearing program started in my village, I avoided the meetings. However, some of the promoters kept inviting me to come. They promised not to preach to me, so I obliged them.

“I enjoyed the first session because I heard a lot of encouraging words, and no one preached to me. They only discussed the message. Even through I did not participate, I benefited a lot from the explanations and answers that were given. I decided to continue attending the sessions.

“After some time, I finally accepted Christ as my personal Savior, and joined the Presbyterian church in my village. My favorite verse is John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that he have his only begotten son...” I also like Matthew 28:19, which commands us to go into the world and share the Word of God with everybody. May God continue to guide me to grow in the Spirit.”
