Pray for Norway

  • Encouraging Signs in Wycliffe Norway

In Norway the positive reaction to Wycliffe’s vision and purpose is evident in both recruitment and church relations. Wycliffe Norway’s staff have been encouraged by the positive response of both individuals and church communities to the vision of Bible translation. They are also encouraged by the addition of several new part-time staff to the office. These new staff members are young and bring a vitality to the office that is refreshing.

  • Partnership with Governments in Project Funding

The Wycliffe Organizations in the Nordic region have been able to partner with their respective governments to secure funds for language development, literacy and poverty reduction projects around the world. Praise the Lord for these partnerships and for the many people whose lives have been impacted by these programs.

  • Language recordings for Saami speakers in Norway

While much of the UK ground came to a snowy halt in January, Kenny & Joan McKee of Language Recordings* set off for northern Norway to record Bible stories for Saami speakers in Scandinavia. Despite amazing volumes of snow and –24C daytime temperatures, life continued. Pray for the editing, production and distribution on CD, DVD, MP3 and internet downloads. May the Saami people discover that God has a word just for them!
