- Yemeni Jews: Israel
Israel [2010-03-17] —
The immigration of Jews into Yemen appears to have taken place about the beginning of the second century AD. With the advent of Islam in the 7th century, the political status of Jews underwent a radical change for the worse. They lived under difficult conditions in Yemen for many centuries, and many have now returned to Israel. Perhaps the Messianic Jews of Israel can effectively communicate the Gospel to the 50,000 Yemeni Jews. They clearly understand their connection with the Abrahamic covenant. There is no Old or New Testament in their language, Judeo-Yemeni Arabic. Pray for this people group to come to Christ.
