Having God's word in our language will make us feel human - Philippines
Philippines [2010-07-04] —
Mel Awid of TAP (Translators Association of the Philippines) is co-ordinating translation, Scripture use, literacy, education and community development among five Ayta language groups, three hours north of Manila. One group has the NT but needs help with literacy. Three translation teams are working on their first book, Matthew. They meet for checking and training with a consultant every month. And three TAP members started working on a fifth language in June. One person said, “Having God’s word in our language will make us feel human. And people will believe that we know God.”
